NHS Leicester City (PCT): Designing, recruiting for, and running a programme for community residents to access Health Trainer jobs.

 This work included:

  • Designing a 3 month placement role for 10 students which included considerable classroom based training and the provision of access to the CIEH Health Promotion certification and City and Guilds Health Trainers level 2 accredited through Loughborough College
  • Recruiting individuals who were currently unemployed or economically inactive to undertake the training, and ensuring that they were supported to complete the course
